  • Different file types use different amounts of points
  • Text files (.txt) use the least points
  • PDFs use slightly more, CSVs can use substantially more
  • Images are the most point-intensive file type
  • Tip: copy content from PDFs into a plain text file before uploading to save points

Structuring Your Uploads

  • Don't dump everything into one project folder
  • Break large content down by topic into separate projects
  • Example: a gardening course split into "Deciding What to Grow," "Garden Types," etc.
  • When you chat, oJoy reads everything in the folder — fewer files means fewer points

  • Every chat (session) in Projects has continuous memory
  • Multiple shorter chats use fewer points than one very long chat
  • Keep related work in its own dedicated chat

  • This avoids re-reading the file every time — saves points
  • Name your chats so you can find them later (e.g. "January Newsletter 1")

  • When a chat gets long, ask oJoy to summarize everything it's learned
  • Copy that summary, start a new chat, and paste it in
  • Name the new chat (e.g. "January Newsletter 2") and keep going

  • Don't upload unsupported file types (.docx, .pages) — oJoy burns points just to tell you it can't use them
  • Don't ask oJoy to generate PDFs for you — that eats a lot of points
  • Instead, copy oJoy's output into Google Docs, format it there, and export as PDF
